From Saturday, December 21, 2024 to Monday, March 31, 2025, special content will be offered at "PIGMENT TOKYO," "WHAT CAFE," and "PETALS TOKYO," operated by Warehouse TERRADA, in conjunction with the " Ukiyoe Immersive Art Exhibition TOKYO."
Through art, workshops, gourmet experiences, and accommodations, visitors can immerse themselves in the world of ukiyo-e with all five senses.
Discover the allure of ukiyo-e spread across the entire Tennoz area, and enjoy a unique and unforgettable experience.

The strikingly transparent blue often seen in ukiyo-e prints, known as "bero-ai" (Prussian blue), is celebrated for its captivating beauty and is referred to as "Hokusai Blue" or "Hiroshige Blue." But did you know the story behind this iconic color?
Prussian blue is a chemically synthesized pigment accidentally discovered by a dye manufacturer in Berlin, Germany, in the early 18th century. It is said to have been imported to Japan around 1747. The name "bero-ai" originates from "Berlin blue," with "Berlin" shortened to "bero."
At the workshops hosted by "PIGMENT TOKYO," operated by Warehouse TERRADA, participants can create Prussian blue pigment by combining two chemicals and then use it to make paint. They will then apply the paint to a design based on "Sakurawari" pattern which created by Hokusai, designing a postcard-sized artwork. Completed works are framed and can be taken home as a keepsake.
This workshop offers a rare opportunity to experience the profound depth of ukiyo-e colors, blending the romance of history with the wonder of science. Alongside the exhibition, immerse yourself in the world of "Hokusai Blue" and engage all your senses in this extraordinary experience.
