"Ukiyoe Immersive Art Exhibition GIFU" has opened

"Ukiyoe Immersive Art Exhibition GIFU" produced by HITOHATA, INC. is held from Friday, November 6, 2026 to Monday, January 11, 2027, at the Gifu City Museum of History has opened. (Organizer: Ukiyoe Immersive Art Exhibition GIFU Executive Committee (Gifu City, The Gifu Shimbun, Gifu Broadcasting System, HITOHATA, TV Aichi))

Based on more than 300 works by world-famous Ukiyo-e artists such as Katsushika Hokusai, Utagawa Kuniyoshi, Utagawa Hiroshige, Kitagawa Utamaro, Toshusai Sharaku, and Utagawa Kunisada, the museum is an interactive digital art museum where both children and adults can enjoy the world of Ukiyo-e through six 3D video spaces, depicted as graphical digital art works using 3DCG animation and projection mapping.

"Ukiyoe Immersive Art Exhibition GIFU" not only takes a deep dive into the artistic value of Ukiyo-e, but also features original content exclusive to this venue, in which Ukiyo-e prints of Oda Nobunaga and cormorant fishing come to life. The exhibition also includes displays that offer an accessible introduction to Ukiyo-e connected to Gifu.

We hope you will enjoy this limited-time immersive exhibition, in which many of the masterpieces of Ukiyo-e that continue to fascinate the world throughout the ages will come alive dynamically.
